We use your donations of cash, clothing, footwear, household items, motor vehicles, and computer equipment to help support
our services for individuals with disabilities or other challenges right here in South Central Wisconsin. Plus, our practice of selling donated goods helps keep items out of landfills.
Over 76 percent of our revenue is generated through the sale of donated goods.
Textiles that are not sold to the public are used to make products such as carpet pads or are
third world countries where there is a great need for clothing. Donated computer equipment
that is not sold to the public is sold to a recycler who, among other things, will not export waste.
In 2013, we collected over 19 million pounds
of goods. That means over 9,500 tons of clothing,
household items, furniture, and computer
were diverted from landfills and were
used to generate revenue
for life-changing services.
