Your Donations Do Good
When you generously donate your gently used items to Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin,
you help provide stable housing opportunities and employment support for people with disabilities and other barriers in our
community while keeping over 16.7 million pounds of items out of local landfills every year.
Goodwill is known as the “original” recycler of goods. Goodwill began recycling more than 120 years ago with it’s founder,
Reverend Dr. Edgar J. Helms who sought to provide …
“not charity, but a chance!”
Helms believed donated goods could be sold, and that money could be used to pay workers who helped refurbish the goods.
He saw potential in the people Goodwill served, the items collected, and the impact reuse could have for our planet.
Those same founding principles continue to drive our mission today.
Last year 22.2 million pounds of goods were donated to Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin. Those donated goods served more than 2,000 people with essential programs and services across our 14 county service area. More than 507,000 donations contributed to nearly $25,000,000 in revenue for mission programs and services! THANK YOU!
91.2% of all dollars and donations
are used to support our Goodwill of South Central programs.
