How It Works:

  1. Refer a candidate to apply at Goodwill.
  2. If they’re hired & stay for 30 days, you will receive a net bonus of $200.00.
  3. If they stay beyond 90 days, you will receive an additional net bonus of $300.00.

Terms and Conditions

Referring Employee Eligibility
Referring employees employed and in good standing at the time of the referral bonus payout are eligible to participate in the Employee Referral Program.

  • Designated Guidelines & Restrictions (DGR)
    • Manager Restrictions: Directors and Managers are not eligible to receive referral bonuses for candidates who are hired in their own department.

Referred Candidate Eligibility
Referred candidates must be hired into any open position at Goodwill South Central Wisconsin to qualify under the referral program.

  1. Referral Submission
    • Refer a candidate to apply for a position at Goodwill South Central Wisconsin.
    • When the referred candidate completes their application through Paylocity, they must:
      • Select “YES” to indicate they were referred.
      • Enter the First and Last Name of the referring employee.
  2. Bonus Structure
    • First Bonus:
      • Amount: $200.00
      • Condition: Paid once the referred employee remains employed for 30 days.
    • Second Bonus:
      • Amount: $300.00
      • Condition: Paid once the referred employee remains employed for 90 days.
  3. Unlimited Referrals
    • Employees may refer an unlimited number of candidates.
    • Each successful referral is eligible for the same bonus structure.
    • More referrals = More rewards.

Referring Employee Eligibility

  • Ensure the candidate properly identifies them during the application process.
    • Important Requirement:
      • The referred candidate must list the referring employee’s name at the time of application submission for the referral to be considered valid. Referrals submitted after the application has been completed will not be eligible for a bonus.
  • Remain in good standing during the entire referral payout process.
  • Bonuses are subject to tax withholdings.
  • Payouts are processed after employment milestones are verified.
  • Goodwill reserves the right to amend or discontinue the referral program at any time.

 The Donation Attendant maximizes store profitability providing best in class donor service, accurate donation records, and effective material handling. Your role helps us to build skills and change lives in each of our communities. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use GRATIS in donations; quickly and professionally Greet, hand out a pre-signed and dated Receipt, Assist by involving the donor and safely handling their donation, Thank and Invite donor to donate again, then Sort out SLs and leave HL in container to give to a HL station

General Summary:

 The Donation Attendant maximizes store profitability providing best in class donor service, accurate donation records, and effective material handling. Your role helps us to build skills and change lives in each of our communities. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use GRATIS in donations; quickly and professionally Greet, hand out a pre-signed and dated Receipt, Assist by involving the donor and safely handling their donation, Thank and Invite donor to donate again, then Sort out SLs and leave HL in container to give to a HL station 
  • Support efficient product flow as a material handler moving donations, trash and salvage to keep merchandise flowing to the sales floor

General Summary:

Provides best in class service to our diverse range of residents with the completion of maintenance

  • Complete a diverse and high volume of maintenance work order requests as assigned or observes when at a location.

General Summary:

Supervise and support team productivity with guidance from manager, to meet established revenue goals. This role contributes to the DGR purpose, generating funds to help people in our community to live, work and thrive through housing, employment, and supportive services. 

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Assists with training employees. 
  • Supervises the daily workflow of donations, production and store.  
  • Provides constructive and timely coaching to assist with discipline of employees in accordance with company policy. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide best in class service by greeting and assisting customers, coaching all employees to do the same.  
  • Monitors customer service and sales staff productivity while operating a register, assigning tills, using proper cash controls, troubleshooting and maintaining efficient customer flow.   
  • Ensures efficient production flow and production staff productivity working the process as needed, to maximize product output and the value of our donations. 
  • Delivers a fresh and full store, monitoring staff productivity while placing out a continuous flow of new product according to merchandising guideline, salvaging product and completing assigned floor moves. 
  • Monitors donor service and donor staff productivity, helping assist donors as needed.  
  • Trains staff, provides ongoing coaching and follow up. 
  • Project a positive image of Goodwill in words and actions to internal and external customers. 
  • Sets the example by following safety and asset protection standards, coaching employees to do the same. Reports concerns to management. 
  • Accurately enters report data.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:  

  • Leadership skills relevant to the responsibilities of this role.  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

  • 1 year work experience, retail preferred.

General Summary:

The Janitor/Cleaner maximizes store profitability by maintaining a clean and safe store environment, along with supporting best in class customer service. This role helps us to build skills and change lives in each of our communities. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cleans all floors, including under garment racks, using a broom, mop, vacuum, &/or floor scrubber  
  • Cleans restrooms: mirrors, counters, toilets and floors, spot cleaning walls, and wiping all handles 
  • Provide best in class service by greeting customers/donors and inviting them to return  
  • Stocks restroom supplies and revisits throughout their shift to complete touch-ups, as needed 
  • Routinely picks up debris, hangers, and product inside and outside store  
  • Collects and empties trash from public areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and offices  
  • Cleans & polishes drinking fountains, wipes down microwave and tables in breakroom 
  • Cleans dressing rooms: mirrors, benches, baseboards, and floors  
  • Routinely dusts all ledges, tops of fitting rooms, and underneath H-Racks  
  • Informs management of cleaning supplies level on hand & alerting them more needs to be purchased  
  • Maintain neat, clean and safe environment by following established 5S principles and safety guidelines 
  • Works the process providing back-up to take in donations or putting out HL product, as assigned

General Summary:

Processes salvage and donated goods, as directed, to maximize revenue to support Goodwill’s mission and minimize environmental impact of material sent to landfills. 

 Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare salvage textiles for resale, including baling, weighing, transporting, arranging, and organizing for easy access and identification.  
  • Process computer donations for Reconnect or for resale through Shop Goodwill.  
  • Organize salvage hardlines for reclamation or other disposition (e.g., hazardous waste, metal, electrical cords), which includes loading and unloading of product, organizing product in warehouse for temporary storage, preparing product for pick-up/ delivery, etc. 
  • General material handling utilizing a forklift and pallet jack.  
  • Operate a compactor for trash going to landfill and metal reclamation. 
  • Work safely. Consistently follow established safety rules while performing duties and while on company property, including power equipment checks. Report safety accidents and hazards.  
  • Assists in logistical planning and coordinating with manager(s). 
  • Communicates with external customers (stores/partners). 
  • Maintain work areas in safe and orderly fashion, including daily clean up and disposing of trash.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to be trained to use required equipment, including but not limited to an auto-baler, pallet jacks, hand tools, forklift (requires certification within 90 days), shrink wrap machine, and compactor.
