What can I donate?

We gratefully accept the following new or gently-used items in reusable condition:

  • Clothing and accessories
  • Shoes
  • Books, media
  • Household items
  • Jewelry, antiques and collectibles
  • Electrical items
  • Toys and games
  • Computers and computer equipment/accessories in working and non-working condition
  • Furniture (except unassembled furniture, pianos, organs and hospital beds)

For the safety of our customers and staff, there are some items we cannot accept:

  • Building materials (check with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County’s Habitat Restore to donate building materials
  • Infant furniture/seats: including cribs, car seats, strollers, hi-chairs, changing tables, swings, bouncers and walker/jumpers
  • Large appliances
  • Mattresses, box springs and hospital beds
  • Non-LED bulbs
  • Unassembled furniture, pianos and organs
  • Paint, chemicals or other hazardous materials
  • Recalled products (updated recall information is available through The Consumer Product Safety Commission)
  • Wood Cabinet TVs (installed in wooden cabinets or cases, see image for reference below)

Electronics Recycling


We accept electronic products of any brand in any condition, including non-working equipment:

  • Any USB device (anything else with a USB cable)
  • AC Adapters
  • Battery Backup Units
  • Battery — Lithium and Nickel (anything not vehicle related)
  • Cables and wires (any form)
  • Cameras and camcorders
  • Computers, laptops, and all related items, components, and parts including empty PC cases
  • CRT Monitors/TVs (modern flat screen TVs)
  • Floppy Disks
  • Hard Drives
  • Mice
  • Modems, routers, and docks
  • Phones, tablets (any handheld devices)
  • Printers of any size, printer ink, toners (If leaking, please put in bag)
  • RAM/Memory Sticks
  • Scanners
  • Shredders
  • Speakers
  • Record players and stereo equipment
  • VCRs and DVD players
  • Video games/gaming systems

We cannot accept:

  • Air conditioners
  • Air fryers
  • Cabinet TVs (installed in wooden cabinets or cases)
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Lamps & lightbulbs
  • Microwaves
  • Ovens
  • Washers, dryers, & dishwashers
  • Refrigerators of any kind & size
  • Stoves
  • Toasters
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Any other large appliances, kitchen or other
