Assistant Store Manager
Goodwill Industries has a great leadership opportunity for a full-time Assistant Store Manager position at our Richland Center retail store. Chosen candidate will support Store Manager with all opening store operation and closing functions, staff training, product handling and cash handling duties. Good organizational and multitask abilities, strong communication and customer service skills required. Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs and be able to work weekend and evening shifts. Valid driver’s license with access to own transportation is required.
Career Center Specialist
Goodwill Industries has a great part-time (4-20 hr/wk) opportunity for Career Center Specialists to assist adults with job-related topics. Responsibilities include helping individuals conduct online job searches, creating/critiquing résumés, help composing cover/thank you letters, and conducting mock interviews. Additional duties include assisting individuals in finding various community resources and aiding in completing online resource applications. Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to quickly and effectively develop a rapport with a wide variety of audiences, and a background in adult education/human services or related field. Director of Workforce Development
Dane County’s largest provider of supported employment for individuals with developmental disabilities is seeking an experienced leader to continue our long and proud history of providing community based services to individuals with disabilities and other challenges. The Director of Workforce Development will also administer Goodwill’s Work Experience Program and Career Center.
The Director will be responsible for developing and managing an annual budget, establishing program direction and goals, initiating new partnerships and programs, and representing Goodwill in the community on issues related to service delivery, advocacy, funding and related matters affecting the organization, community and system planning.
As a member of Goodwill’s Senior Team, the WFD Director will be involved in agency wide planning and decision making.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) in rehabilitation management, rehabilitation counseling, education, social services, human services, or a related field. The person in this position must have five years of leadership experience, including supervisory experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Group Home Live-In
Goodwill is seeking a Live-In for our group home located on Madison's north side. The person in this position will be required to be at home for 5 overnight shifts from 10 pm to 7 am. Sleeping is permitted but the Live-In must be available throughout the shift if the residents require assistance. Requirements include a general knowledge of mental illness and demonstrated ability to problem solve. Previous experience working with persons with mental illness preferred. Goodwill offers a separate one bedroom apartment (including utilities) plus $7.25/hr for sleep hours and $11.09/hr for working hours.
Job Coach - Support Specialist
Goodwill Industries currently has full-time and part-time openings for Support Specialists to assist adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in the community. Responsibilities include assisting persons served in learning job tasks, to teach and promote independence. The person in this position will provide direct support on jobs, community activities, and job seeking activities. Support Specialists will participate in case planning and perform personal care as needed. Education or experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with access to own transportation.
Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has part-time positions available at our donation centers. Production Clerks will be responsible for assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts, and answering any questions. Duties to include sorting, processing, and pricing donations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Full-time (40 hr/wk) and part-time (16 hr/wk) weekend positions are available at Madison East. Part-time (16 hr/wk) weekend positions are available at Monona, Fitchburg, Portage, Richland Center, and Fort Atkinson. Part-time (8 hr/wk) position working every other weekend is available at Platteville. Limited Term Employment (40 hr/wk) is available at Monona.
Production Float- Plant
Goodwill Industries has a three month summer opportunity for a person as a Production Float. Duties include sorting and storing household goods, as well as limited use of a trash compactor. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated work history of excellent attendance and the ability to work a Sunday to Thursday (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) shift schedule. Candidates must be able to work in a dusty environment and have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Production Manager
Goodwill Industries has a great opportunity for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to manage our Fitchburg Donation Center. The Production Manager will effectively train and lead team in meeting operational goals in collections, processing, salvaging and transporting of goods. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Customer service experience required. Must have valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Sales Clerk
Goodwill Industries is accepting applications for enthusiastic and customer service-driven individuals to work in our retail stores. Duties include performing all functions of retail store operations which includes running the cash register, product handling, merchandising, and providing excellent customer service. Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to work weekends and evening shifts. A full-time (32 hr/wk) and part-time (20 hr/wk) position is available at Madison East. Part-time (20 hr/wk) position is available at Fitchburg. A full-time (30 hr/wk) position is available at Platteville. Limited Term Employment (1-20 hr/wk) is available at Monona or Richland Center.
Store Supervisor
Goodwill Industries is looking for a Store Supervisor to work at our Monona retail store. The person in this position will be responsible for opening and closing functions, cash management and daily audits, product handling and staff management. A working knowledge of retail operations, staff supervision and training, along with solid cashier/cash handling experience is required. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. An ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and rotating weekends will be required. A valid driver’s license with access to own transportation is required. Great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills.
Truck Driver
Goodwill Industries is seeking a full-time (40 hr/wk, with overtime required) weekday driver to transport goods, as well as load and unload trucks at various locations within South Central Wisconsin. Drivers will only drive local routes working day shift hours. No overnights! Class A CDL with a good driving record and ability to lift 75 lbs required. Previous forklift certification and/or experience preferred. Candidates with a Class B CDL will be considered if able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of hire. Candidates with a Class B CDL need a Class A CDL permit to be considered. Beginning and ending shifts will vary.
