Career Center Specialist
Goodwill Industries has a great opportunity for full-time (35 hr/wk) Career Center Specialist to assist adults with job-related topics at our Fitchburg location. Responsibilities include helping individuals conduct online job searches, creating/critiquing résumés, help composing cover/thank you letters, and conducting mock interviews. Additional duties include assisting individuals in finding various community resources and aiding in completing online resource applications. Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to quickly and effectively develop a rapport with a wide variety of audiences, and a background in adult education/human services or related field. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of an associate’s degree. Please note that in order to be considered for this position, a completed application, résumé, and letter of interest must be included. The shifts will vary between Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is flexibility working 20-35 hr/wk and can be discussed upon hire.

 

Clerical Assistant
Goodwill Industries has an excellent part-time (20 hr/wk) opportunity for a Clerical Assistant to perform a variety of clerical support functions. Responsibilities include timely and accurate distribution of materials, daily switchboard coverage answering and correctly routing all incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors and assisting persons entering the administrative office. This position will also serve as the backup Receptionist.

 

Direct Care Professional (working title: Job Coach - Support Specialist)
Goodwill Industries currently has full-time (32.5-35 hr/wk) & part-time (25 hr/wk) openings for Support Specialists to assist adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries to work in, live in and be a part of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct support for jobs and community activities, participating in case planning, and performing personal care as needed. Education or experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, access to own transportation, a good driving record, and proof of insurance. The position is based at our Corporate Office working Monday through Friday. Starting wage is $11.47/hr.

 

Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has open positions available at our donation centers. Production Clerks will be responsible for assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts, and answering any questions. Duties to include sorting, processing, and pricing donations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends. Full-time (40 hr/wk) positions are available at Fitchburg, Nakoma and Monona. Part-time (16 hr/wk) weekend position is available at Sun Prairie. Full-time (40 hr/wk) & part-time (16 hr/wk) positions are available at East Springs. Starting wage for this position is $10.10/hr.

 

Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has open positions available at our donation centers. Production Clerks will be responsible for assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts, and answering any questions. Duties to include sorting, processing, and pricing donations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Part-time (16 hr/wk) weekend position is available at Richland Center. Part-time (8 hr/wk) rotating weekend positions are available at Platteville. Starting wage for this position is $9.50/hr.

 

Production Clerk (working title: Plant Float)
Goodwill Industries has opportunities as a plant float at our corporate office. Primary duties will include sorting computer donations for recycling and testing electronics and other electrical equipment.  Additional duties will include sorting and storing household goods, as well as the use of a trash compactor. A successful candidate will be able to distinguish levels of quality among comparable goods and have a demonstrated work history of excellent attendance. Starting wage for this position is $10.10/hr.

 

Production Manager Float
Goodwill Industries currently has an opening for a full-time (40 hr/wk) production manager float who will provide coverage as needed due to production manager vacancies such as sick, vacation, or other absences of current production managers. Responsibilities include supervising donation/production center personnel, and site operations according to established procedures and standards. They will provide production assistance based on DC needs as well as training assistance when manager coverage is not needed. They will provide input and assistance on special projects as requested by Assistant Director of Operations. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, access to own transportation, a good driving record, and proof of insurance.

 

Resident Counselor
Goodwill Industries has great full-time (40 hr/wk) positions on the North or West side of Madison. This is a great opportunity for a caring and dedicated individual to assist in the support and treatment of persons with mental illness, within a group home (CBRF) setting. Duties include working with residents in achieving their objectives in becoming independent and living in the community. Resident Counselors will gain experience in documentation such as writing treatment plans and case notes. Employees will learn available community resources in the Dane County area and gain experience with medication monitoring.  A general knowledge of mental illness and its treatment and the ability to work effectively with persons with mental illness and other service providers is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of insurance. An associate’s degree in human services field or equivalent experience is required.

 

Retail Manager Float
If you enjoy a diverse work environment, this could be an ideal retail management opportunity for you. Goodwill Industries is now hiring for a full-time (40 hr/wk) retail manager float. Responsibilities include providing management back up and assistance in special projects, staff training, and (general) management oversight in absence of a store manager. In addition, this position will provide New Goods program, back-up to the Assistant Director of Retail. This position requires extensive travel/commuting throughout the South Central WI Goodwill Territory. Candidates must have access to a vehicle, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.

 

Retail Store Manager
Goodwill Industries has great opportunities for a Store manager to run our Monona or Madison East retail stores. Chosen candidate will have experience in hiring and training staff to achieve sales goals, through the application of excellent internal and external customer service. Position requires candidate to have strong leadership qualities, including but not limited to problem-solving, and motivating and energizing staff. Must be results oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Merchandising experience of soft and/or hard lines is required; creative display skills a plus. Position requires supervisory experience in a store of similar size/volume/staff and/or minimum two years staff management in business or related field. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to work morning, weekend and evening shifts. A valid driver’s license with access to own transportation is required.

 

Sales Clerk/Acting Store Supervisor
Goodwill Industries is now hiring for an Acting Store Supervisor to work at our Sun Prairie or Madison East retail stores as needed in the absence of a Store Manager. Great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills. The person in these positions will be responsible for opening and closing functions, cash management and daily audits, product handling and staff management. A working knowledge of retail operations, staff supervision and training, along with solid cashier/cash handling experience is required. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. An ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and rotating weekends will be required. A valid driver’s license with access to own transportation is required. This is a 40 hr/wk position as a Sales Clerk and Acting Store Supervisor as needed. Starting wage for this position is $10.10/hr.

Duties include performing all functions of retail store operations which includes running the cash register, product handling, merchandising, and providing excellent customer service. Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Part-time (20 hr/wk) & (15 hr/wk) positions are available at Fort Atkinson. Part-time (8 hr/wknd) weekend position is available at Platteville. Starting wage for this position is $9.50/hr.

 

Store Supervisor
Goodwill Industries is now hiring for a fullt-ime (40 hr/wk) Store Supervisor to work at our Sun Prairie retail store. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills. Truck Driver
Goodwill Industries is seeking a full-time (40 hr/wk) weekday driver to transport goods, as well as load and unload trucks at various locations within South Central Wisconsin. Some holiday and weekend work is required. Drivers will only drive local routes working day shift hours. No overnights! A good driving record and ability to lift up to 75 lbs required. Previous forklift certification and/or experience preferred. Candidates with a Class B CDL will be considered if able to obtain a Class A CDL within 60 days of hire. Candidates with a Class B CDL need a Class A CDL permit to be considered. Please note that in order to be considered for this position, a completed application,Driver Driving Experience and Information form, and Drug Test Consent form must be included.
